Brand Guidelines

I was tasked with consolidating Temple St. Clair's branding into a seamless brand book with specific rules for their logo usage, typographical hierarchy and a fixed color palette.

Menu Design

Temple St. Clair's exclusive Bloomingdale's clients were invited to a special dinner hosted by TSC at Union Square Cafe in October 2022. I was assigned to design the print collaterals for the dinner including the menus. Using Temple St. Clair's powerful navy blue as the background and the royal matte gold for the text overlay, worked successfully to create an elevated menu dedicated specifically for that occasion.

Email Design

Using Klaviyo as their email marketing platform, TSC wanted me to recode their emails and make the design system more seamless. Using CSS, I created custom branded emails with our chosen colors, typefaces and font styles. Within 2 months, we were able to drive up our open rates by 12.5%.

Holiday Emails

I spearheaded the holiday email campaigns and introduced a new elegant script font in to the mix. This created an intriguing brand element for Temple St. Clair and brought on an increase of 25% in our holiday web sales from the previous year.

The New York Times

Arts & Fashion Takeover

Along with the E-Commerce & Marketing Director, I strategized and delivered an innovative digital advertisement campaign for Temple St. Clair's NYT Arts & Fashion Takeover in October 2021.

Along with the E-Commerce & Marketing Director, I strategized and delivered an innovative digital advertisement campaign for Temple St. Clair's NYT Arts & Fashion Takeover in October 2021. We wanted to create a video and picture combination but did not have the budget or time to hire an external videographer. Self-driven, I conducted some research and went and purchased a camera for the office. With the help of my marketing team members, I shot the video that we were envisioning, edited and laid it out after multiple iterations.

This advertisement takeover was very well-received and increased TSC's website traffic by over 20% during the takeover days.

Web Design

When I began working at TSC, the website needed a lot of revamping. I set out to add color backgrounds to the products on the category pages to create a more premium feel. I collaborated with the VP of marketing and E-Commerce & Marketing Director to rejuvenate the homepage every few weeks. I also redesigned the 'World of Temple' Philosophy and Our Commitment pages to make them more approachable.

I wireframed an innovative user journey that allows customers to discover their birthstones and then shop according to that filter. Although it sounds basic, this journey also brings light to Temple St. Clair's specialty of using rare gemstones across the world and acts as a marketing tool.

SPRING 2022 HOMEPAGE

  • Retouching and collaging photo assets using Photoshop to create hero image

  • Modifying color of product backgrounds to create a seamless theme

  • Identifying appropriate assets and combining them with copy to develop engaging strips on the homepage

Print Advertisements

Print Advertisements

I designed print advertisements under the guidance of the VP of Marketing, VP of TSC and the founder herself. In order to do so, I created multiple mockups for representation purposes. These mockups helped my supervisors visualize the ads with ease.

Mothers’ Day Catalog Cards

I spearheaded the design, execution and printing of an exclusive set of Mother's Day (2022) catalog cards for Temple St. Clair's A-List clients. The process involved researching printers in and around New York, reviewing various paper types, collaborating with Temple to understand her vision, creating QR codes for the products displayed and prototyping the sets.

Saks Fifth Avenue (Visual Merchandising)

Myself and another member of the Marketing Team were in charge of merchandising out products for an exclusive, high-profile gathering at the Saks Fifth Avenue club in April 2022. From mockups and floor layouts to designing decals, we did it all.

Takeaways

  • Working full-time at Temple St. Clair was an engaging and thrilling learning experience. Being their first in-house graphic designer, I was able to take on multiple responsibilities and demonstrate my leadership skills.

  • My role at TSC as a Graphic Designer was great, but I felt the most passionate and immersed when I was strategizing for the brand and creating new user journeys for the website. This experience is what guided me to pursue my education in design further and why I decided to study Strategic Design & Management along with User Experience Design.
